  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add onions, sugar, salt, and pepper. Cook until deeply browned, stirring occasionally (about 30 minutes).
  3. Let onions cool slightly.
  4. Mix cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  5. Stir in caramelized onions.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish, top with shredded cheese if using.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until bubbly.
