4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 egg, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
Boil the potatoes until tender, then mash them and let cool.
In a pan, cook the ground beef with onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper until browned.
Take a portion of mashed potatoes, flatten it, and place a spoonful of beef mixture in the center.
Shape the potato around the filling to form a ball.
Dip each ball in beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the balls until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
Notes
Use starchy potatoes for better texture.
Let the mashed potatoes cool completely to avoid sticking.
