  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Pat your chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the chicken breasts in the pan and cook undisturbed for 5-6 minutes until golden brown on one side.
  • Turn the chicken and sear the other side for about 5 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate. Don’t worry if it’s not fully cooked yet.
  • Lower the heat to medium. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds to a minute until fragrant but not burnt.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, then sprinkle in Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir constantly until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some sauce over each piece. Cover loosely with a lid and simmer for 5-7 minutes to let the chicken finish cooking inside the sauce. The chicken should reach 165°F.
  • Taste the sauce and add more salt or pepper if needed. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the dish before serving.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a tablespoon of water or chicken broth and stir it in. If too thin, cook it a little longer uncovered to let it reduce.
